Matt Collette is Edelman Vancouver General Manager, Head of Digital for Canada, and Global Managing Director for Digital Growth. Matt’s career to-date took shape in both British Columbia and across Asia and – as Vancouver is the major port for Canada's trade with Asia – Matt is uniquely positioned to lead the Vancouver office.
Prior to joining Edelman Canada, Matt was Vice Chair for Digital, Edelman Asia-Pacific region. Here, he oversaw Edelman’s Digital operations spanning 11 markets and was responsible for evolving and delivering the firm’s portfolio of market-leading digital services. As the digital leader for the region, Matt led experts to create comprehensive digital and social programs that earn attention and build trust across a wide array of clients.
Matt brings his past on-the-ground experience in the most digitally fast-paced markets in the world to his role as the head of the Edelman Canada’s digital offering. In this capacity, Matt manages operational and strategic decision making for the digital team and oversees capability revenue and product.
Globally, Matt is responsible for the agency’s digital innovation program that integrates marketing technology into client marketing programs. He is also responsible for knowledge management and IP programs that drive incremental growth for digital across all Edelman offices.
Matt has nearly 20 years of integrated experience across digital, social media, analytics and content marketing working with brands on a variety of global remits. He has a deep passion for addressing the complex marketing challenges of modern businesses through creativity and technology and believes in the power of digital as a driver of change.
And when Matt is not anticipating the next wave of digital trends, you can find him on one of British Columbia’s towering mountains either hiking or skiing.
Matt holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the Segal Graduate School of Business, Simon Fraser University.
