Darcy Walsh

With over two decades of experience in both the private and public sectors, Darcy is the President of Edelman Global Advisory, Canada, and General Manager of Edelman Canada’s Ottawa office. Darcy is responsible for building business across all Edelman services and expanding the company’s public affairs offerings nationwide.

Before joining Edelman, Darcy held a leadership position as national director of business development, building procurement practice, counselling Canadian and international companies on initiating and maintaining long-term relationships with government and public-sector organizations.

Darcy’s extensive experience on Parliament Hill includes working in the office of the official opposition’s House Leader and serving as Director of Parliamentary Affairs in the office of the Minister of Public Works. Darcy also played a key role in leadership and federal campaigns for former Prime Minister Stephen Harper, including his time as a member of the Minister’s Advance Team.

Having grown up as a competitive skier, Darcy proudly supports the careers of local Olympic skiers in Ottawa. Darcy also serves as the president and chairman of the RBC Ottawa Bluesfest, which has helped him see his favourite band, the Allman Brothers, a whopping 51 times.
