Now in its 18th year, the Edelman Trust Barometer is an annual trust and credibility survey of more than 33,000 people in 28 countries.
This year’s survey revealed that trust in Canada remained relatively stagnant – but we’re entering a new realm in the battle for truth. Canadians are skeptical of information sources following the rise of fake news and disinformation. However, there is a renewed confidence in experts, notably academics, journalists and government officials. More than ever, there is a call for businesses and CEOs to lead and drive change.
